Wonderful tapas dinner. But make sure you’re ready to eat. The portions are definitely more generous than what you’d get in Spain but just as tasty if not more so. All the dishes were very inventive and interesting. Lots of molecular gastronomy techniques used. The presentation and explanation of each dish was superb. We didn’t opt for the wine paring but the bottle of wine we chose went well with everything. Would go again and fast beforehand.
Very very expensive. But it was delicious. Somehow the tasting menu with some substitutions and drinks ended up being $200 per person. I do appreciate the experience but it's not a hugely filling meal and I do not think it was worth the cost at all.
Very good experience at EDO Tapas. The food is original with a nice presentation and it's very tasty! The menu gives you so many different flavors.
Regarding the service, it's excellent! Each dish is presented in detail. They cleaned every drop of water that could fall on the table during service. They clean the tables AND THE CHAIRS with good attention. I even saw them adjusting the tables making sure that it's properly leveled before seating customers. We don't see that much attention to detail often!
The service was a little too fast for us at the beginning but I asked them to slow down and it was better.
The only improvement I would suggest, is to change the plate between each dish. You keep the same plate during the entire service which is not great because you have remaining from the previous dish and it's mixing the flavors. I'm sure they would have changed them if I'd asked but it should be automatic.
But the overall experience was great! And there was special attention for my wife's birthday!
We will come back again!
Fantastic! But yes definitely fast before hand. My mom and I got the tasting menu and barely made it through. Honestly could have shared one. This place is pricey but worth it if you’re in the mood for something fancy and fun and want to culture your palate.
We got the fixed price dinner with all of the upgrades. Some selections for upgrades required the entire table to participate which is ok I guess, but one of the upgrades I wouldn't liked to have had me out my partner her the non upgraded version and honestly I think I may have preferred it.
The food was very good, but given the price of the meal/service (>$400) for an off strip experience I was a little disappointed even with all of the courses. The courses were very small which was expected. They advertised wine pairings for a fairly low fee, which is traditionally one wine per dish. They did not have wine pairings. They instead offered two wines to match the first and second half of the meal and they were fine, but they did not provide the experience one would expect for wine pairings at all. These two glasses of wine together were as expensive as the wine pairings would have been. For a place claiming to be a wine and tapas bar with pairings, thinking back now, this is when it fell apart. Additionally the waiter forgot to bring out the next wine with the appropriate course and so that one was essentially ruined. We mentioned the screw up which the waiter admitted, but nothing was done to make up for the issue. We should have been overly full and tipsy by the time we left, but we left just satied and feeling little to no effects of the wine.
The menu also wasn't the one listed on the site to my memory. I believe it was more expensive, especially with add-ons, and was essentially a higher priced surprise. The courses were somewhat hit and miss. We each found some of the seafood a bit fishy, which generally suggests a lack of quality and freshness. It was good, but it's not Michelin star worthy and had me considering the value compared to the price.
The atmosphere of the place is kind of cool in that the Spanish theming is there and there is a very cool mural, however it was very busy and there was not a lot of space. I felt cramped. It was noisy which I think would have been fine for tapas, if we had an appropriate amount of wine, which again, we didn't.
I don't think I'd recommend the testing menu to anyone for their first experience. Get a few dishes and a glass of wine and treat this like a place to have a few neat dishes at, not a cohesive paired meal or experience as I don't think they delivered on that.
The watermelon gaspacho was refreshing! The best croquetas I've ever tasted so far. The octupus was good too. Lobster risotto was flavorful but a bit salty for me. The sangria was okay. I've had better ones elsewhere. Overall, I recommend this place.
Good and solid tapas place. We had the tasting menu and to our surprise every dish is excellent! Nice presentation, unique and flavourful. Highly recommended especially the Wagyu beef!
It’s my second time at Edo and they didn’t disappoint! Tried out new recipes and they were amazing: the egg caviar, the scallops, the deconstructed croquetas and the oyster are really special. Service was excellent, Paulo was passionate about food and took time to explain the content of every single dish.
Must visit when in Vegas, will definitely come back !
